Have you had your Well Woman Exam?

Happy New Year! Let’s start this year off right! If you’re 21 years or older it’s time to schedule your Pap Smear, and get yourself checked out. This exam is included in your Well Woman appointment and can be performed here at Obria by one of our healthcare providers. You may be wondering what a Pap is, and why do I need one? A Pap test also known as Papanicolaou (I know, long word) Is essential for checking the cells in your cervix for changes that may lead to cervical cancer. It also can detect the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). If cancer is detected, knowing early helps in your fight for a cure. It’s better to know than not to know! Pap exams don’t detect Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), but if you think you have been exposed to an STD let us know and we can provide you testing and treatment.

Okay, what are you waiting for? Welcome 2023 right, and schedule your Well Woman appointment! Schedule a Well Woman Appointment Online

What is the Success Sequence?

The Success Sequence - Optimal Health

I want to introduce you to the Success Sequence. It’s about the order in which to do some of life’s biggest things and how it can really make a difference. The sequence is…

  • Education: Finish high school and get as much college or training as possible by your mid-20’s.
  • Employment: Have a full-time job by your mid-20s (or be in college or training).
  • *Be married: BEFORE having a child.

By accomplishing these in a specific order you are more likely to ensure your future success. 86% of young adults who follow the sequence or are “on track” are in the middle to upper income group. The plan is beneficial whether you are younger, older, single, in a relationship, or already a parent.

Even if you haven’t followed this sequence it is never too late to get back on track. If you’ve already had a child you can focus on being the best parent you can for that child, get further education or full time employment, then get in a committed marriage before deciding to have that second child. There is proof that getting on track to follow this sequence can lower your risk of living in poverty.

The Success Sequence - Optimal Health for Parents

By following this sequence, you can take control of your life to make the best decisions for yourself, your children, or future children.

The Empowered Optimal Health Program will empower you to make decisions that can better your overall health. Take control of your life today, make an Optimal Health Appointment and start 2023 on the right path.
