Leading with Heart: Meet Executive Director Tamra Call
“We started Obria Academy in 2024 to provide parenting classes to mothers and fathers. We launched the program in August 2024 and provided 156 classes in 2024. Parents meet one-on-one with a mentor and are able to earn credit to purchase baby supplies for each class they complete.”

At the helm of Obria Iowa is Tamra Call, Executive Director of the Obria Medical Clinic of Ames. With a nursing degree, a master’s in public health from the University of Kansas, and a heart for vulnerable women and children, Tamra brings both experience and conviction to her role.
Her leadership journey began as a nurse at the clinic and grew into a calling—culminating in her appointment as director in 2022. Inspired by Isaiah 58, Tamra continues to expand the clinic’s reach and deepen its impact.
