A College Senior, Alone and Afraid
Years ago, Gigi’s mom walked into Obria Los Angeles during her senior year of college. She was pregnant, facing the reality of becoming a mother without the support of the father, and unsure of what to do next. Like many women in crisis, she was overwhelmed and scared.
But she wasn’t alone.
At Obria, she found a safe place—filled with encouragement, truth, and hope. With the help of our compassionate team, she felt empowered to choose life and begin a new journey. It wasn’t easy, but she knew she wasn’t walking it alone.
A Life That Keeps Giving Back
Raising a child as a single mom brought challenges, but it also brought incredible purpose. Gigi’s mom not only completed her undergraduate degree—she went on to graduate school, determined to create a better life for herself and her daughter.
Inspired by her mother’s strength and the support they received, Gigi has grown into a woman committed to helping others. She has volunteered with several organizations and now works as a speech pathologist serving the elderly, using her gifts to give back to those who need care and dignity.
And today, her journey continues—full of joy and new beginnings. Gigi is engaged to be married to a wonderful Christian man who shares her values and faith. She proudly shows off her engagement ring and looks forward to building a life rooted in love and service.
